Scriptural Position on Adoption

This is a BIG topic! Gods heart on adoption is very clear in his WORD! This topic may take several posts but I will be sure to sprinkle in some Adoption updates here and there! There are A LOT of scriptures that talk about or refer to adoption in the WORD. I think I can post a daily scripture and not run out of entries for a LONG time. Adoption is not a new passion for me. I have had this in my heart for a LONG time! I have a whole notebook of scriptures concerning adoption. The scripture I want to blog about today is 1 Kings 18:36b

"Let it be known this day that thou art GOD in Israel and that I am thy servant and that I have done all these things at thy word."

Did God call us to adopt? Oh Yeah. Why? I don't know. Why did he call certain people to be missionaries? Why did he call certain people to be pastors? He called me to be Mama. He called Mike to be Daddy. He put us together and viola! We actually LIKE being parents! We actually LIKE watching our kids grow up.So much that we are on our second set! So going back to the scripture... We serve GOD and do what he says and he has given us the desire and ability to raise children and we take it very seriously! We work hard at teaching and training our kids. When we stand before Jesus... He will say we were faithful in the call he placed on us.
