Visits

I visit with Talia each morning and then with Tobias each afternoon.  It has been interesting! Never a dull  moment. Yesterday Talia was very moody.  Her family style group is staying at a different facility temporarily and so she is not at her usual place. That is the first difference... Then this lady keeps coming everyday with a very strange voice and that is the second difference!  Wednesday Talia had had enough of these changes.  She was moody and she really didn't know what she wanted.  She wanted the toys I had brought to play with her but then she didn't want them.  She liked me on Monday and Tuesday but Wednesday she decided I was too close, too strange.  Today (Thursday) she was again a bit moody but the psychologist suggested we go outside.  Wow! She really liked that. I carried her around and I talked and talked to her so she would get used to my voice. I sang to her (quietly so only she could hear) and I prayed and thanked God for the precious little girl in my arms.  She leaned her head against my shoulder and as I sang she started to make some tiny noises by my ear.  She was matching my voice! Not a lot and you couldn't really call it singing but it was a definite start! She finally relaxed and she would straighten up and just look into my eyes.  It was a very sweet time between us that I will cherish!  Tobias, well everyday my visits with him are very entertaining!  He is a very forceful little man and the word "mischievous" has come up a lot!  I met the director of his orphanage today as well. She is very nice and loves the children! When Tobias saw her his eyes lit up and he ran to her and it was apparent he is very fond of her! She gave him some cheese bread stick type snacks and he loved them as well!  They say he is a very good eater!  So tomorrow are my last visits with each child.  I will leave a couple of favorite toys with each and my heart.  I fly home Saturday AM.  I am excited to go home and Mike and the kiddo's have missed me and I have missed them so much. SKYPE has been great though!  Our next step is a bit  more paperwork and planning the second trip to actually bring them home.  I have absolutely NO DOUBTS whatsoever that these two little souls, born on the other side of the world belong to us. They were meant to be in our family. They are so precious and such treasures!  They are so different but both these little puzzle pieces are a match!  God is so faithful. I am so grateful.
