Training and then more training....

On 2-26-2011  I went to a Down Syndrome conference held here in Lexington. It was for therapists and physicians and parents and family members of individuals with down syndrome. I learned lots of new information and when the next Buddy Walk is held in the fall I will be there with our newest family members!  On 3-4 and 3-5-2011  Mike and I went to the annual foster parent training for medically fragile resource families.  It was a l-o-n-g training weekend and I am glad it is over!  I did learn some new things but most of it was stuff we had heard before.  Our CPR certs are good for 12 more months so we are good.  It is a relief to have that behind us for the year.  I can also use these training credits when I re certify for my SRNA status.
I have the days marked in my calendar as a countdown of sorts and it is 18 days until I travel to meet the kids! Every time I think about it I get the happy butterfly feeling!  I can honestly say that I am not scared in the least to go, even though I have never traveled internationally before but I am excited!  I will post pictures of my sweeties as soon as I can.
