Update on Tallies Heart

When we adopted Miss Tallie we knew she had a heart condition.  It was described as "inborn cardiac malformation".  It can be clearly heard and our adoption clinic doctor pegged it when she listened to Tallie's chest.  It is an ASD.  Its a hole actually holes is more accurate.  So the doctor decided that our best plan was to fix the holes with a catheter. He had hoped to cover one and possibly more with the edge of the cath.  It was planned to be a one night hospital stay and a fairly safe procedure.  So we went for the cath.  After getting her under anesthesia and taking a second look at the ASD the doctor decided that the cath will not work for her heart.   We have met with the surgeon and May 1st Tallie will have open heart surgery.  This is not the news we wanted to hear but we know God has this whole thing in his Mighty hands.  These pictures are of Tals at the cardio doctor.  She is growing and changing. She loves to spin and twirl.  Her stamina is so much better these days.  She is loving life.
