Tallie's school
Tallie doesn't go to school. I knew I wanted to keep her with me for at least a full year after she came home just to help her heal physically and emotionally from her former life as an orphan and from the major life change that came with being adopted and moved half way across the planet. I knew she (Toby is a different story) would need the time. So we finally enrolled her in the home bound program. Basically a teacher comes 2 times a week to work with her. We have taught her a LOT and she has just picked up a LOT but this is much more organized and focused. I have written down my educational goals for her. They are very fundamental and basic but we are working diligently and we have already seen progress! I have rounded up a bunch of educational toys and things to help us and her teacher has had some excellent ideas as well. She now has a desk and chair and two totes full of stuff just for Tallie. She already has OT twice a week at home and speech/feeding once a week and then PT once a week at cardinal hill and they want to bump these up to twice a week. Add the teacher coming twice a week and all our doctor visits (Just for Tallie) and she is a very busy little girl. Everyone is saying that she is expected to regress a little after surgery and during the recovery time. I hope not and I am not looking forward to this surgery. I am preparing myself with knowledge about the procedure and it is pretty scary stuff. God has everything under control and I am expecting everything to go smoothly. Miss Tals is very blessed!
