Mike finally got his tinker bike running!
Elaina loves her Pappaw!
MaryCarol and Elaina came up from Texas for a visit.
I got the pleasure of holding both my grand daughters AT THE SAME TIME!
Two of my beautiful daughters and their beautiful daughters... :0)
I am sorry for not posting much these days. We are fairly busy lately! Lots of end of Summer fun stuff going on. Our library's summer readers program party was today. Another back to School Rally next Saturday. My kids seem to feel that if anyone puts a bounce house up we are obliged to go bounce in it. (No matter how hot it is out side.) I am also busy doing our tax prep. (self employed... long boring story... much like taxes...) I also have a list of things I have to get done before I go bring the kids home! (EEEEE!) I love saying that! The WORD RALLY was this past week at Church. I NEED to get all the stuff we have hoarded for a big yard sale out of the basement and cleaned and priced but it has been so HOT! I could deal with it but with Mike working (it seems like all the time these days ... tax money AND travel funds) the kids have to be where I am and it is too hot for them to be outside for long. Nap time is only 2 hours long... Plus as if the heat/humidity were not enough the skeeters are monsters this year. My kids must be extra sweet because they are sure skeeter feeders! We still have not gone to the lake even once and it looks like Kings Island will be a fall activity. (Boo... the water park will be closed). But if it sounds like I am whining I AM NOT! CAUSE I am SO ExCiTeD that the kids will be home this month (August)!! Once again this silly Mommy is walking around with a cheesy grin on my face because we are so close to the end of the adoption process and so close to starting the family process! Oh I know there will be an adjustment period for all of us. And I know that it may be challenging at times... but I also know that with work and prayer we will come to a new normal and life will settle to the new normal and we will all be so blessed to have two new family members to love. This fall looks to be a lot of FUN! Buddy Walk, Fall Festival at Church, Pumpkin Patch, Camping (maybe, not sure?) Fishing, Thanksgiving and all the great things we do as Christmas approaches! I am already trying to figure out where to put my Christmas tree and what to have the kids wear for our Christmas family pictures! (I know, I know! I am a total Christmas Geek! and proud of it!). Well there you have it. This is where we are! Blessed and soon to be even more so!
