May 8 is sweet Miss Talia's birthday. She is 9 years old. So I can't bake her a cake or sing her a song. I can't give her a gift or even a hug... yet. This is her absolute last birthday alone as an orphan. Next year we will celebrate her birth and life WITH her. We are at the point in the process that we have done everything necessary to adopt her. Now we wait for all the paperwork to be processed. We plan for the pick up trip and we wait. We have chosen her new name. *Talia Joy* Just saying it makes me happy! Talia is a shortened form of the name she has had from birth. She will not have to get used to an entirely new name. Talia is (hebrew and aramaic) and I have looked at several baby name sites for the meanings. So from what I have learned it means Heaven's Dew, Morning Dew, Dew of God or Dew from God. It also means Lamb (female) and lambkin. I also read that the same name with a different spelling means "blossoming". I LOVE these meanings! Her middle name will be "Joy" which is (latin) and means Joyfulness. So far in her 9 years there has not been a lot of JOY. So I wanted to give her a name with meaning.
It is also Mothers Day. A day to celebrate mothers and all that they do and mean to us. I am also celebrating that I get to be one! It is the hardest and most rewarding life I know of. It is a great honor to be a mother.
