CRUNCH TIME

Ok, Its CRUNCH TIME. Here is where we pay some hefty fees! International adoption has its pricetag... Some folks believe it should not cost to adopt children... So who would do all this work for free? Social Workers, Adoption agencies, Lawyers, all have to eat, and the work these people do is tremendous. But there are fees for everything. So right now in these last months before the first trip the *Big Money* is due. Mike and I have already paid for the home study, and the U.S. agency service fees, and USCIS fees and we have already paid hundreds (literally) in postage fees and we are about to send more docs. We are applying for grants to help offset costs and such. Now, you may be saying why are you adopting if you don't have the money... We have the money to support and raise the children but these adoption expenses all come right up front. That is just the way it works and God has called us to this and he will make sure we have what we need.

Here is what is basically left to pay

*Aprox =$2000.00 in EE. Agency fee
* Post Placement visits and reports ( this wont take place till the children have been home with us for 6 months but is due at referral) =$1,200.00
*Trip 1 Flight, hotel, food for 1 (me)= $2,200.00
* Children's Visas = $810.00
*More fees to USCIS = $720.00
*Trip 2 Flight ( RT 2 adults, 2 children 1 way) = $4,500.00
* Hotel and food on trip 2 = $1,800
* Medical Exams for both children so they can travel to US $200.00

If a business, cooperate partner or individuals want to step forward and help us with any of these expenses it is tax deductible if it comes through Reece's Rainbow. (the button to the right links directly to our Reece's Rainbow account) This is perfect timing with Christmas and year end giving for taxes etc. Ask around and let people know that we are so happy to be able to do this! We so appreciate every donation no matter the size!

When you give to missions and charities (which is great!) you don't get to actually SEE the miracle of what your seed did. You know that it fed some child somewhere or maybe put gas in a jet to fly the food to the child... I am ALL ABOUT giving to different ministries and charities! Don't get me wrong!! But if you feel led to give to this adoption you will get to actually SEE the children's lives change! You will SEE them in the orphanage. You will SEE them as we travel home. You will SEE them in the bosom of our big silly family. You will get reports on how they transition into a family from being basically alone in the world. You will SEE how they grow and change and thrive! You will SEE them blossom into the people GOD wants them to be! You get to watch the miracles.... (before and after pics as they gain weight and get medical care) It is humbling to me that GOD has chosen our family to be the safe haven, the Goshen, for these children. Adoption is such a GOD thing...
